It all started with Miley Cyrus’ and Maisie Williams’ participation on September 5th in the web series launched by Converse, found here on YouTube. Bringing together artists, innovators, activists, and young visionaries to reflect on their own personal aspirations, the series has beautifully consolidated the notions of art and contemporary culture.
Public Access Zine, in collaboration with High Snobiety, is a “co-creative” platform that seeks to encourage the sharing of ideas and is dedicated to foster the younger generations’ creativity and understanding of the world.
The magazine combines four of the most creative European minds coming from Lewisham in London, République in Paris, Kreuzberg in Berlin and Navigli in Milan. Each creative has had the freedom to share their stories, lives, and especially where they come from through whatever method rings closest to them. At the heart of all this is One Star’s iconic Converse street style. Ryan Hawaii, Londoner visual artist and designer, Roman Gonzales, underground French skater, Steffen Grap, Berliner photographer and skater, and Maria Vittoria Reale, Milanese emerging stylist and fashion expert have achieved this through tackling the question, “How does youth culture appear in your neighborhood?”.
The result is nothing short of breathtaking work that leaves room for anthropological and cultural study centered on today’s creativity – the cornerstone of tomorrow’s culture.
